I am a trauma therapist. I specialise in working with those who have experienced attachment, developmental or relational traumas.

I am an integrative therapist drawing on a range of approaches. When you start therapy with me, I aim to work with you to navigate the impacts of your trauma and towards resolution of these impacts. I have an interest in exploring the attachment or relational dynamics that may have developed when we were younger, but repeat themselves in current relationships.

I support you to learn about yourself and grow in ways that are more aligned with the way you want to be in the world.

I draw upon somatic therapies, IFS and nervous system regulation. All the approaches I use, are underpinned with a relational approach and this is vital in the healing some of the attachment wounds that are present in all of us.

In therapy you can expect to;

Slow down and listen to the body
Encourage healthy expression of emotions
Assert and respect our own boundaries
Build trust and explore issues around trust
Explore relational dynamics and how they play out
Examine the effects of childhood experiences
Consider how attachment and childhood experiences impact our relationships
Learn to track our nervous system
Complete some of the things that wanted to happen in our nervous system but couldn’t

We will do this by;
Talking, tracking, following and redirecting the nervous system, completion of impulses or incomplete responses, recognising and encouraging your boundaries and needs, inner child work, providing education (reading, explanations), working on the rupture and repair cycle.

 I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates if you have a mental health care plan from your GP.
